Fall Driving Conditions from Rick Hendrick Jeep Chrysler Dodge RAM

It may be hard to believe, but today marks the first day of fall! We welcome this season’s change at Rick Hendrick Jeep Chrysler Dodge RAM with our New 2015 Inventory. We think this is a good time to remind ourselves that as the season changes, so do the driving conditions. Fall means wet leaves and less visibility on the road, so we’ve put together a list of safe fall driving tips for you to consider before you hit the road to find some beautiful foliage. We’ve also added another reminder to all of our North Charleston drivers to always wear your seat belts. It is a law here in South Carolina, but we think a safety reminder is always necessary. Happy fall!

Wet Leaves: When wet, leaves are extremely slippery. Also, avoid parking your vehicle near dry leaf piles, which cause a great fire hazard from the exhaust system or catalytic converter.
Visibility: It will be getting darker sooner, so visibility will be an issue. Pay extra special attention to bikers and pedestrians, and always drive with your headlights on, even during the day.
Tire Pressure: With frequent weather and temperature changes, tires can expand and contract. Make sure your tires are properly inflated and have plenty of tread.
And finally, always wear your seatbelt!
