HISTORIC DAY FOR HENDRICK MOTORSPORTS
Sunday was a historic day for Hendrick Motorsports at Homestead-Miami Raceway. Jimmy Johnson won an unpecedented FOURTH Nascar Sprint Cup Championship in a row. In addition, Hendrick Motorsports took the top three spots in the Nascar Final Standings, another historic landmark. With the Championship going to Jimmy Johnson, Mark Martin finished second in the standings followed by Jeff Gordon. Mr. Hendrick was unable to be at the track for the historisc day due to a family medical emergency. The race was won by Denny Hamlin with Jimmy finishing fifth, Jeff Gordon was sisth and Mark Martin finished 12th.
